Approaches to Research in Thinking/Decision Making
As you can imagine, investigating into 'thinking and decision making' seems quite a complex task. Should researchers talk to people to find out about how they think? Is there any use in observation? Should they have them do a task and listen in to thought processes? Should they get inside the brain with scanning technology? Should they have participants do a task and measure performance?
For the sake of writing an SAQ/LAQ, we will narrow our focus, but please take time to explore how various methods are used to build knowledge in this complex area.
